OrganisationThe OASE Foundation is the offshoot of two closely related environmentally oriented enterprises: The Institute for Environment and Systems Analysis (IMSA, 1985) and Ocean Desert Enterprises (ODE, 1998).
OASE has a small and effective management board as well as an international advisory board. The organization is funded by private and public donors. OASE is organised as a network organisation: management and staff are provided by ODE and IMSA. The core team of the three organisations consists of approximately 30 people.
IMSA Amsterdam (1985) is an independent think-tank committed to sustainability and innovation. IMSA operates on the interface between industries, governments and critical groups to develop in co-operation with clients innovative solutions to sustainable development.
ODE’s mission is to find agricultural solutions for saline land and water resources (biosaline systems). The organization combines Dutch core knowledge in the field of water engineering and agriculture with innovative biosaline know-how. The objective is the creation of sustainable biosaline business cases.
