Cape Verde Viability Study

In the period 2005-2006, Ocean Desert Enterprises (ODE) has performed a viability study on biosaline agriculture for the Cape Verdean islands.

The primary aim of the viability study was to assess the technical and financial possibilities for developing and implementing biosaline projects in Cape Verde.

The work was executed in cooperation with and under the guidance of INIDA, the Cape Verdean Agricultural Research Institute from the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Fisheries (MAAP).

The study was financed within the Dutch Development Cooperation scheme for The National Action Plan for Environment II (PANA II). PANA II provided the necessary framework for the realisation of the proposed biosaline viability study.
