Stage 1: Nursery construction and trees production
The nursery is constructed in a mildly saline environment to raise young trees and grasses for the future plantation.

The land is cleaned and levels are made, the nursery house arranged, an irrigation system and pump bought and installed, and the production beds traced. The best trees (Tamarix aphylla) in the area are located, with the desired characteristics and the best response to the salinity conditions. Bags are filled with earth and poles of the trees are placed in the bags. The sprouts will be transplanted to the project site. A biodiversity study is done in the project site, with the objective to have a baseline and know the impact on wildlife. A committee of social representation is formed, to involve the community in the project. A hundred trees are planted directly to the ground water table, for the pole planting trial.
